Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 May 2026

1. Platform

SmartMenu is a digital menu and Pay-at-the-Table platform operated by Krypton Technology, registered in Ireland. By creating an account you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Accepted use

You may use SmartMenu only for lawful operation of a food and beverage business. You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for fraudulent, illegal, or misleading activity.
  • Upload content you do not have rights to.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or abuse the service.

3. Restaurant responsibilities

  • Keep menu, pricing, availability and tax information accurate at all times.
  • Fulfil all orders received through the platform.
  • Comply with food-safety, allergen and consumer-protection rules in your jurisdiction.
  • Maintain accurate contact and banking details.

4. Free trial

New accounts include a 7-day free trial. A valid payment card is required to start the trial. No charge is made during the trial. If you do not cancel before day 7, the paid subscription begins automatically.

5. Subscription

The paid plan is €150 / month, billed monthly in advance and renewed automatically until cancelled. Pricing may be revised with 30 days notice.

6. Service area

On-site physical setup (printed QR stands, in-person installation) is currently available only in Dublin and surrounding areas. Customers outside this area subscribe online and print their own QR codes from the dashboard — the software service itself is available worldwide.

7. Intellectual property

The SmartMenu platform, the Krypton brand, logos, designs and source code are the exclusive property of Krypton Technology. You retain ownership of your own menu content, photos and brand assets.

8. Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Breach these Terms of Use.
  • Fail payment after the retry process (see Payment Policy).
  • Engage in fraud, chargebacks or abuse of customers or staff.

9. Liability

SmartMenu is provided “as is”. Krypton Technology is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
