1. Free trial
A valid payment card is required to start the 7-day free trial. The card is securely saved by Stripe but not charged during the trial.
2. Subscription charge
At the end of the trial, your card is automatically charged €150 / month for the SmartMenu subscription, unless you have cancelled.
3. Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically every month on the same calendar day until cancelled. You can cancel at any time (see the Cancellation Policy).
4. Failed payment
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry up to 3 times over several days. During this period:
- You will receive email notifications to update your payment method.
- The service continues to operate.
If all 3 retries fail, the account is suspended until a valid payment method is provided. Menu data is preserved during suspension.
5. Accepted payment methods
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
All payments are processed by Stripe — PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
6. Currency
All subscription prices are in Euro (€). Customer-facing menu prices use the currency configured by each restaurant.
7. VAT and taxes
Prices are shown excluding VAT where applicable. VAT will be added at the rate of the customer’s country of establishment as required by EU law. Each restaurant is responsible for collecting and remitting any sales tax / VAT on its own orders to customers.
